does anyone have the resistance value so I can install a LED bulb instead of the factory bulb? I'm replacing the standing bulb in the high beam housing

Hi, I have installed a bunch of different types of LEDs (T10 W5W bulb) to replace the standing bulb. To work you have to install a load resistor to fix 'brake light out" on dash. I have tried the ones with load resistor built-in. Over time, the resistance is burnt and the problems begin on dash and finally the bulb dies. What I've done at the end is to install this 'direct replacement' pair. Problem solved. LED bulbs are lighting error free for more than 3 months since I installed it. Hope it helps.

You don't need external resistors... Canbus units will be plug and play as it has built in resistors.

195/T10 canbus wedge LEDs

Yes, I do have the resistance value, as I have done this in one of my cars as well, with a 194-style LED bulb. You'll use a 30 ohm resistor in parallel. I used the following model.

NTE25W030

This is a 25 watt ceramic resistor, 30 ohm, with a 5% tolerance (quite sufficient for our needs here). Why a 25W resistor? Safety margin. Turns out these things are not at all expensive, and safety here is cheap, so go for it.
