Jerry there is a good guy to deal with.
I wound up going with oem sills. $225 on e bay for all 4 doors less back lights. $175 from a MB dealer for rear lights. $225 to install all tomorrow at MB dealer.
Not too cheap, but I'll have all 4 and they will be warrenteed and MB,
I hope I like them!

I got all 4 doors done and it was a real project for the dealer. It took them all day, but still $225 as promised. They turned out great.

Shaggy and Ajay, thanks. Thee pictures do not do them justice. I think those on e bay are aftermarket. They look fake in the picture, should not be blue just sitting there unhooked. The factory ones have extensive wiring harness, including 4 green resistor boxes and some other things. I would ask the seller for a pic of the wires. The aftermarket ones just get spliced in.
I preferred to do it real MB with warrenty, also, they automatically shut off in 60 seconds or so.
All 4 doors light up.

Ajay, the 03 s classes I have seen haev the same style sills, but they are chrome. There is also an additional inner sill plate that is also chrome. You can se those from inside the car with doors closed.
Mine are brushed aluminum, but you can buy chrome for 03's.

Shaggy, probably the same, but you would need to get them from dealer, maybe $600 in total. The inner chrome peices would be extra and I'm not sure that they would mount correctly in an earlier model year. I asked my dealer and never heard back. Go take a look at one and you will see what I mean. They changed the trim design on the door sill area.
