2002 s430 sounds like a bearing sticking in the transmission
I have a whump whump whump sound that only comes when I push on the gas. I coast and no sound. I speed up it speeds up. I let off the gas no sound.
Any ideas?
Going to a Benz dealer soon wanted to sound educated.

if it does it all the time, drive with the service tech or service writer so they can hear/experience it with you.
A noise that is apparent when accelerating and silences when coasting could be anything, from flex disc to bad rearend to wheels to just about anything.
