Loose Turnsignal Stalk on 2001 S500
As the title says the turnsignal stalk is loose. When I go to activate it, the lever moves about 1/4inch with the trim ring before starting to activate the switch. Makes for a very long travel before activation. Very annoying in heavy traffic. I had a similar problem on my W210 and cut a template for drilling a hole in the plastic of the column. Then just tightened a screw to secure the trim around the signal lever.
I did some searching here, but could not find anything out about thing on the W220 class. Any help would be much appreciated

^ LOL. Folks here in Hawaii are not found of signaling either, but I still do. Just before I cut you off with my land yacht. Hahaha. But seriously, if anyone knows please LMK. I would like to fix this.

So far 315 views, but few replies..... If you guys have this problem, please take a moment to post. If enough folks show interest, then it may be worthwhile for me to take my Saturday and dismantle the column and find the problem. Then post the solution.......
