2000 S-Class
Proud new owner of a 2000 S430

Hello Everyone,
I have just made the big plunge into the luxury world with my new/used S430. It isn't the most fun car to drive, compared to my NSX and Audi S4, but it is soooo quiet and comfortable that I can almost fall asleep driving it.
Anyway, I also want to let everyone here know that I have owned and operated a Window Tinting company called California Sunscreen for almost 15 years in San Leandro, CA 94577 (510)483-8468 and just opened a new location in Fremont, CA 94538 called Auto Mall Tint Factory (510)659-8468.
Here is one of my all time favorite pictures of what I call TRIPLETS. A trio of silver/charcoal S-class. Guess which one is mine.
I have also attached a couple of pictures of my new ultra-clean tint facility in Fremont. Please shoot me an e-mail for an estimate. Thanks for the warm welcome.

Sidney

Welcome! Your pics didn't post. Are you going to put 18" rims on the car? That will definitely improve the handling and wake the car up, more fun to drive.

2000 S-Class
Hi Crankin,
Thanks for the advise. I was specifically looking for an S-Class with a Sports Package. I have the AMG 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 rims and the look is totally different than most other S-Classes. I also have HID, Parktronics, Massage seats, and a host of other goodies.
I have a few friends rolling on 20" wheels and lowered a little. I love the look of their cars but want to keep mine kind of low key. Don't want to be too flashy. All I want to do is have the dealership set my air suspension to Euro specs so that it will be a little bit lower and add some nice exhaust tips. Other than that, it will remain all stock.
I have edited the original post and hopefully the pictures will show up.

Congratulations on the new car!! The lease on my ML comes up in July and I am considering an s430. If I may be bold, could you please give me information on you car (mileage, etc) and what you paid? If not, no problem!

I live in Oregon and am considering a trip to So. Cal. to find a car. Not too many S430's here!

Congratulations again!

Litespeeds, that sounds like a great car. That car is loaded!
Good luck getting it lowered by MB dealer. I am still trying to get mine done. There is a very informative post about this by stephens in the E55 section. I am going to take that info to my dealer and see if they can figure it out and do it.
I got nice exhaust tips made my Schatz in Germany from formymercedes.com. Wood shift knob also looks nice, if you do not already have the wood package.

Awesome!

I too just got an S500 the other day! I also had an NSX (Targa, 18" motorsport rims, P Zero, Borla exhaust, K&N filter, Alpine CVA-1000, DVD, 18" woofer custom built in passenger floorboard, 1800 watts. Give me your email, I'll send pictures.

Question: I am going to get my windows tinted (I'm in Long Island). Any advice?

Enjoy the ride!

you said its so comfortable that'd you would fall asleep in it... Too many times that is true, then you got a DUI to deal with after a cop pulls you over, its really bad and costs a fortune to take care of, i dont drive my s-class after 12:00 PM on most nights now cuz I know I won't be able to be awake on the drive home.
