2003 S600 wheel suggestions

I'm awaiting delivery of a 2003 S600 with ECU/TCU tune and AMG package. The 18" five spokes are dated, although they have good Pilot tires on them. I think new wheels would enhance and update the appearance. I love the S65 wheels (05/06) but find they are still quite pricey. I would like to know if you could post pictures of wheels that look appropriate on the car - not too flashy or gaudy - more like something that could have been stock. Thanks in advance for posting pics and suggestions.

A Mercedes obviously!
It's got the standard AMG wheels like this?

Personally I think those are the best looking wheels on the W220 but then I'm biased!. The monoblocks look great too, not so much a fan of the double spoked AMGs that came on the '05s and '06s myself...

There are so many wheel options out there and given how personal the choice it is you've just got to do some legwork.

Yes - Fraser - the wheels are like those posted in your picture.

For replica wheels - is there a need to be concerned about strength/rigidity given the car's massive weight?

if i was driving a tuned 600TT, i would be shopping for some type of lightweight, forged wheel.

Many replica wheels are no better , or worse , than the forged rims which are mostly made in China in the same factories

If you want assurance of quality control youll need to get european manufactured rims. But even the popular European brands are sending production to china so choose carefully

I think 21s would impact the ride quality - so I'd plan to stay with 18" and use my tires, unless the 19" are significantly more attractive on the car.

I think the replica wheels make sense if the quality is there.
