STAR says cannot establish comms with Electronic Ignition Switch - help!
I have a new keylessGo card and wanted to add it. Have none at the moment and previous owner said they stopped functioning along time ago.
When I run STAR it does two things;
1) It reports unable to establish a connection to the Electronic Ignition Switch (even though all driver functions work with this switch and a regular key)
and,
2) My KeylessGo controller does not show up on the Quick Test results in STAR even though it is physically present and connected. There is 12 volts at the connector to the KeylessGo controller at the appropriate pin so its getting power. All connections/plugs look healthy.
So, are they interrelated? I can't program the new keylessGo card while there is no KeylessGo controller visible in STAR.
Does anyone smart have any suggestions please?
