Throttle Response Tune?
I was talking to the service manager at a local, independent European car shop, and he said that they have a tune for MB throttle response and that it completely transforms the car's performance (of course, that's an exaggeration, but he said the difference is very impressive). Mercedes (at least my 3 non-AMG Mercedes) certainly have lazy throttle response (my wife always said my E350 was slow, but I told her she just needs to put her foot into it more than in her Infiniti or Lexus, both with comparable 3.5 V6s), so a tune to sharpen throttle response could be very nice. Does anyone know anything about such a tune? He said it would be only $400 installed (and I gather that it is some kind of add-on, not a retune of the stock ECU), and I am definitely curious about it. Of course, I would get more details before signing up, but I am wondering if the knowledgeable folks here know anything about such a tune. Thanks in advance.

If it's a SprintBooster that he was talking about don't waste your money.
Disconnect your battery overnight that will give you a nice throttle tune on the 500.

Thanks for the response. I'll get the name of the product before making any decisions. So, SprintBooster is no good? And, can you explain how disconnecting the battery will give the car a nice throttle tune?
