New member advice needed
I am about to take a 2000 S500 to the mechanic to get the final OK...
But wondering if you would advise me on the purchase
It is a 2000 S500, 99k on the clock
Clean carfax 1 owner
Purchasing from dealer
Talked him down to 7800.00
The only thing that I see wrong is the LCD for the climate controls is out, which will be fixed included in the 7800 price, only catch is that I have to put in the new unit...
Is this a good price???

The new unit is easy to put in. That is a great price if the car is in good shape.. Just make sure the mechanic gives it a thurough check.

sooooooooo much car so little money
im allways amazed at how high end luxury cars depreciate, they are like adopting paris hilton into your home and trying to keep clothes on her "butt" on a normal income. she would be fun to bring home and ride for a bit but eventually you will wake up to a nightmare creditcard bill!. the stigma of owning one of these "jewels" outside warranty creates alot of opportunity and looks like you found one!. if it is a well maintained car go for it! MB is everything driving can be all packaged up into one car..

I wouldn't want Paris Hilton in my house unless she brought her check book with her.. I would love to find an 03+ for 7k area.. maybe where you live that is doable but out here your lucky to get any W220 for 7k.. unless it's salvaged with 200k, those are in the 4-5k range..
