i think its my time.

STOP! CAR TOO LOW!

yeah lucky airmatic failure lottery winner here guys!

except.. i wasnt driving?!!

ok so in a nutshell, was test fitting some wheels at a buddies house and the front right while jacked in mid air - gave off a wheezing/whining noise, very noticeable..

1st thought - strut releasing air, lower car slowly via jack.

after all is said and done, i start car and press airmatic raise button..

.....nothing happens, 15mins goes buy after pressing the button on and off, engine on and off... it suddenly kicks in and starts raising.

ok? so i drive home and sleep it off.

next day, i find the same front right strut SUPER tucked with the wheels.

now im "WTF'ing" everywhere... i know its airmatic.. so i jack up car slightly, remove links and set rear link to normal - default ride height now.

so i take it a spin around the block and next thing u know i get "AIRMATIC - CAR TOO LOW"

i pull into driveway and notice steering got heavy.... front right to the ground!!!

*****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

arnott. now i have spend money!

anythoughts other than getting arnott struts? should i replace in pairs?

thanks in advance guys, any help appreciated!

hey classy , dont worry everything is gonna be ok ! i used arnott products on my 02 s500 and my 07 lincoln town car. lemme say that i am happy with there products and service. replacing in pairs is ideal ... but if your strapped for cash than one should do for now. goodluck!

Yes get a new relay, autohausaz has them for a good price, and keep the old as a spare- if you hear the compressor running after you shut off the car, the relay is bad, and pull relay right away before the pump is ruined. Hella or seimans, I have had both types of relays go bad.

And Arnott is the way to go for the shock. Do one side and keep an eye on the other side. Did mine w/Arnott's 2 years ago at similar mileage, still perfect.

thanks guys, 2strokepwer - yes i did order 2 off autohausaz but it seems the problem somewhat remedied after raising the car another 1/2" or so.. we'll see how it performs with new relay.. should i even notice a difference with new relay??

sfbigbody - i'll create new new post with the simple mod, i thought ive done already..
