lowering links installed - FTW!
Couldn't stomach my Ranchomobile any longer, ordered links from (gawd I hate even typing this) www.lowermyairride.com (what a ghey@$$ name!).
$160eu's shipped from UK (I think that comes out to something like $125?), got here in 8 daze
was hard not to laugh about spending that kind of dough (while albeit an uber cheap lowering method compared to a module or heck a spring/shock kit in a normal car) on what looks like bits I could have scored @ the local hardware store for like $13bucks 8-)
two short double ended threaded rods, two longer, 8 ball-socketed ends, and 8 cup rubber seals
used my mamoth floor jack to lift entire side, removed F&R links, installed, repeated other side - DONE
well, 'done'... meaning... about a bazillion times up/down to tweak the heights to where I wanted them 8-)
removing the OE ones was the only 'hard' part - they're a bear to unseat from the ball socket and they bend somewhat when you do it (I flattened them back out)
got pretty good at in/out with the new ones, rear can be done w/o lifting car even!
all in all - I am fookin ecstatic!!! (yes it could go much lower - I'm verymuch not into the slammed hooptie look, just needed it to look PROPPAH!)
Here's some crappy pics (hey it was 2:15 a.m. d'oh) - I'll whip off some more maybe @ lunch today, it's nice out:
now while this pic suxorz (didn't feel like grabbing a tripod)... I simply adore the way you can see the beast's ESSENCE wafting out of it (that's not noise in the pic, the car's running):

Nice work, stance looks perfectesque.
WTF are those satellite sidewinder radar dishy antenna things all over the back of your car? Who the F got you a car with that stuff all over it?
ROFL.
Funny in that your green monstah looks like a 1/4 scale midget car near the S600.

thanks guys!
Bruse... the Triumph looks like a 1/4 scale midget car near the S600 because it is.
The juxtposition of those 2 together is quite comical - talk about extreme ends of the spectrum... about as polar opposite as can be.
I love that about them, and how they both appeal so equally and oppositely.
Couple more shots, goiter toomuh included:

what made me change them?
SPRING, ya goot!
These are my factory sport wheels with my Pilot Sports... the split 5'ers run my Wintrak's and it was def time for those to be off'd until next winter.
Yeah I know, rub it in would ya? 8-)
My pretend world (my happy place) has me selling these to fund a 2nd set of them split 5'ers - but instead of 8.5's all around, I jones to sport 275's on 9's all around.
Will dial out some understeer, fill up the front offset which is currently too sucked in for my tastes, and best of all - can ROTATE!!!
Maybe next season. I'll admit tho, there is a certain component to "the look" of the OE's that I kinda dig. I'll enjoy it as is for time being.

It's fine i got it right at the perfect height where it doesn't scrape anything but i think any lower it would be to much. Thanks for ur comp!

YOU would - I wouldn't 8-)
different strokes fer different folks
I did preface this w/ that I didn't want ghetto hooptie slammed look 8-). Yours isn't at all 'that' but - for me - I don't like cars with any sidewall tuck into the fender well, or, excessive rake... just looks silly (again, to me).
No thanks!
To me (me)... it looks JUUUUST RIGHT
not to mention
I frequently run around w/ a carfull 'o kids / friends / trunk full of CRAP. And I don't want to worry even more than I do about having to shallow park soas to not rip the nose off.
AND the car lowers even further @ speed.
But thanks for the thoughts regardless.
Mr. 2002S430 (name???)... no downfalls that I've been able to glean / discern from the forums, and none in my useage thus far whatsoever - none. No error lights, nada, zippo... just lowered bliss... and cheap... and EASY! 8-)
and yes, S5benzo (name???)... there IS just something about about the OE Mono's...

Hey Marty!
Thanks.
Why?
While I did have 2 different shop's with STAR try to lower it... there was only so far either of them could get it... meaning... the ideal settings (or anywhere near them) simply would not "SAVE".
Would have loved to not to have had to bother w/ alternatives... though... at least (for once) the alternative was both economical and easy... rarely happens 8-)
Thanks.
