2000 S500 What do I do?

I have a 2000 S500 with 60K miles fully loaded Silver/Grey Interior. Is there any market for this car or is it better to just do maintenance and keep the car. I have the car since 1999 and it has been pretty good to me with very few problems. It's time now for new tires, front brakes and rotors, change brake fluid and oil change and filter. This will run me around $2K. Is it time to sell it & move on? I have never owned a car this long usually changing every 2 or 3 years but this one just sat in the garage and the time went by.

If you have no use for it then mine as well sell it. No point putting $2,000 into a car that will continue to sit in a garage. It is one thing to use a car for weekends or a couple times a week but if it is less then that your paying for nothing really. You should be able to get around $14,000 or so for it.

A Mercedes obviously!
$14k for an '00 S500, even with only 60,000 miles and fully loaded sounds rather optimistic to me!

I'd just sell it, what's the point of putting money into something you don't use? Then again we're not you so it's difficult to say...

I don't think he will get anything close to 14k i think he would get 10k and that's because of the mile's. Our cars fell in price big time

Mercedes
No way in hell will he get $14k, ESP needing brakes and tires

$10k us a strong price IF the brakes and tires were new. I think $8k is more realistic

Yeah its a good and a bad thing that these cars drop in value so much. For people like J1013 who bought this car brand new its really disappointing when it comes time to sell it and you can only get 8-10k for a car he payed close to 100k for. But for people like me and lots of others who buy these cars for under 10k its the best deal in town. Yeah you are going to have to dump so $ into fixing it here and there but its worth it when you are driving a flagship benz for almost nothing.
