Key stuck in ignition?
Over the last few days the key has become harder and harder to get out of the ignition after turning the car off.... sometimes it doesn't turn all the way counter-clockwise... and I had to pull it out with some force....
Any ideas on what could be the problem?

There is a notch on the key cylinder, inter locked by the gear selector through a ribbon cable.
I cam image if that cable not moving smooth, the interlock would not be released.

There is a cable that is pushed in when you put the shifter in park. Remove the shifter knob by turning the little chrome collar at the base of the knob. Pull up the cover directly below that. Inside on the right front corner you will see the cable. Turn it about a quarter of a turn and it will then be able to be pulled out. Now, push the cable end in and see if the key will come out. If so, now you know what's needed for the key to be released. Fixing it is another matter. Could need a new cable, as the end has been pushed it too many times. Or figure a way to make that end just a touch longer. Maybe pinch it enough to do that? Where it contacts inside the shifter probably isn't the cause. Maybe install something where it contacts? Good luck.
