Godawful noise from COMAND unit while Cold

Godawful noise from COMAND unit while Cold
So whenever it gets cold, the COMAND unit makes some GODAWFUL screeching noise that gives a heart attack to the driver.
Completely out of character for the car. I'm surprised no old lady has died yet.

Only happens when cold, changing the volume doesn't alter the awful made.

Anyone have a similar experience?

Is the noise coming from the speakers, or from the dash?

First time I heard it it came from the center channel speaker, now it's the left speaker.

The amplifier entered into self oscillation. Some components in phase compensation loop drift it's characters due to tc.
