airmatic pump issues and testing

Thank you Ben for the post. I also need to replace my airmatic pump on my S500. If I'm understanding you correctly.Your saying for the older S classes, we shouldn't use the hydraulic lines that they say is needed for the replacement?
Here's a youtube video that shows the difference between the old and new hydraulic line. You will see why you need a longer rubber hose. The connection for the updated hydraulic line is on the opposite side of the pump, which is away from the filter.
Sorry if I'm not suppose to post other people's video. I dont know if there are any guidelines on doing that.....still a forum newbie.
