Adding S55 exhaust tips to S500?

Adding S55 exhaust tips to S500?
I have a 2002 S500 with Sport Package and would like to add the chrome tailpipe extensions that come standard with the S55.
Does anyone know if you can do this without cutting part of the bumper assembly (the S55 has a scallop to accomodate the extended pipe)? If so, who sells the chrome tips to fit the S500?

The S55 exhausts
The S55 exhausts probably won't fit on your S500 without cutting the rear apron to accomodate the extended tail pipes. Try Remus exhaust if you prefer to have quad exhausts instead. Check out my car with this type of exhaust at

I don't know if you like the look. You may opt for the more 'subtle' look of having just dual single exhausts.

A client did it cutting out for the exhaust, and it looks terrible. I would think you'd need a bottom bumper cover (depending on how many parts the bumper cover is, maybe the whole thing).

The best we can tell, using our parts dept and the expert at the depo, the rear bumper cover with apron for the S55 is part A 220 885 04 25. The same part for a S500 Sport is A 220 885 05 25.
On the other hand, we have an unsold Brilliant Silver S55 at the port that'll be here soon. You could just trade it in.
