SRS light
are there any handheld scan tools that will diagnose the problem of my srs light being on? i was looking at these 2 specific ones on ebay

now im not too sure as to how reliable these might be or if theyll even provide what im looking for. im just trying to avoid going in to the dealership due to they charge 2 hours labor to use the SDS. at $96 per hour i think id be better off buying my own reader and figure this out myself. any feedback will be greatly appreciated. already tried the electrical cleaner in the seatbelts and checked for corrosion on the connections under the passenger seat.

I just had that same light come on recently.....it was a bad SRS sensor. $1k for parts and labor.
PS...I did the exact same trouble shooting as you did with no resolution.

i cleaned all the connections on the module under the seat. make sure to let them dry thoroughly before turning the car on.
can't find an indie mechanic anywhere fairly close here in pawtucket. german motors on north main st seems to not return calls. and the vehicle is not inspected or registered as of yet, so i cannot drive it to inskip in warwick.
