New parktronic sensors still freaking out

Howdy all,
I had one side of my rear parktronic giving false readings after sitting in the sun.

I replaced them with new sensors and get similar activity (not into the red/beep territory though) sun or shade.

Basically it goes up to 3 or 4 bars, and then disappears after a second or so. Still works (i.e. it won't fall below the other side), but sort of annoying.

Any ideas on why this may be happening?

Thanks

I may be wrong, since I am talking in a Lexus point of view, but my sensors (the bullet hole) was painted incorrectly was one factor, I doubt thats your problem now. The main reason for my car's sensor going off was the control box that connected the 4 holes in the back to the control/monitoring unit. All I have for now sorry sir.

I painted them myself, but did it like any other painting project.

Primer, color, clear. wonder if that was wrong.

Oliver,
I have recently had this exact same experience with one of my front sensors.
It just randomly starts activating (beeping) but never at any substantial speeds....it only happens when I am creeping in and out of parking spaces or driving away from a traffic light.
The front sensor goes off even in reverse.....not sure what is happening.

Maybe just a bad parking sensor?

I'm gonna move my wonky sensors from one side to the other and see if the problem follows.

These things are brand new and should work perfectly, so all I can think is that i painted them poorly.

never really messed with it since they just show phantom readings but don't usually beep. I have no clue what could be wrong since they are plug and play really.
