Passenger Seat Removal - SRS Pictures
I am working on the SRS code removal that I have for the 2000 S500.
I have a great SRS Passenger DIY thread from benzworld that I will include below.
In the thread one user said before taking the seat apart (after removing the passenger seat from the car) test that there is continuity going through the sensor wires.
I need to know what wires are the SRS child mat sensors and what I should be looking for in terms of the continuity. I purchased a ohm tester (Actron multitester) ground wire. Attached are pictures of the yellow plug (in the thread they only have 1 bunch wire going into the seat, their cars are not S500, in my car I have 2 bunch wires going into passenger seat). I believe the S500 has a wire that measures child/weight/size and a second wire bundle that measures if a Mercedes Child seat is installed.
My question: What is the wiring diagram and how should I test each wire? Meaning which wire should be hot, etc.
Also what is the best process to remove the passenger seat. I have check the threads was looking for pictures.
