s430 2003 temperature question
A)when idle or at low speeds my car runs at about 90-95 degrees, but on the highway and in high speeds it goes down to about 80 degrees. the outside temperature is 95 degrees, i am in las vegas. i just replaced the ac compressor, the serpentine belt, and the idler pulley. is this normal behavior for 2003 s430.?
B) i just replaced the ac compressor and the above mentioned parts but the ac compressor won't kick on when i start ac inside cabin? the guy charged it without using a machine he just charged it with the cans? is this an issue?

A) High speed wind is stronger than your fan...so basically when you're driving, especially at high speeds, there's more wind coming in so the temperature goes down. And if your car ever overheats it'll tell you to stop the engine. And the fact that your temp needle is always changing is that 'normal' cars needle tend to only move when the car overheats, so as long as it's running at a normal temp, it'll show you the same temp no matter what the real temp is. Our cars are different, the needle will always show you the real engine temp.
B) I used to charge my cars with cans myself and never had a problem but i can't help you much more on that.

My car runs about the same. With the AC on, it runs about 95 degrees at lower speeds. On the highway, its in the high 80s.
The car never overheats, and 95c is only 203 degrees F, which ain't no big deal, so I don't worry about it.
