Need a bit more info than that. Is that an isolated instance that you described? Have you driven thecar since then? Does it happen EVERY time you drive for an hour?

Vander: no check engine light, but i did get an obd2 computer today and plugged that in and got a few code readings (Secondary air injection system, Cylinder 5,4,6, and again 5,6 misfire, and last one says Throttle/pedal position sensor A circuit)
Welwynnick:I drove the car a few times after to check things out the same day, after the car cools off it starts up with a cloud of smoke for a few seconds then its normal, and then the car drives once again like nothing happens, then after it warms up for some time driving on the street it starts to smoke again each time i take off from the light and after 5-10 min it starts to bog down and i hit the gas and it doesnt want to move the way it did about an hour ago. i plugged an obd2 computer that my friend let me borrow and it had some codes on it. i wrote up top the codes

smobile 2002 bi turbo? 2002 is 5.8l non turbo. common issue on this v12 engine is that the oil cooler leaks and it sits right in between the cylinder heads. when this leaks the oil gets everywhere . this is most likely your issue as well as a coil pack going south. please clarify what engine you have. 03+ had twin turbos 01-02 non turbo

s5benzo: I see what you mean about the oil leak, I see it right under the car. how much do you think the oil cooler hose will cost me. Do I need to take the engine apart, out, or neither to reach it. The oil that I seen under the car looks like engine oil. I just bought the car recently and trying to shape it up. Tomorrow I'm going to get a good look underneath the car. I checked everything out and on car fax it says its a 5.8l V12

smobile so you do have 5.8 non turbo v12. super common issue on this motor is the oil cooler leaks. unfortunately it is not just a simple cooler hose its an oil cooler plate that sits in between the cylinder heads. and to the great engineers that designed it the cylinder heads sit slightly over the plate and both heads must be removed. this is a very costly job , whole top end of engine is taken off , and while your in there might as well replace some parts head gaskets, intake gaskets, etc.... im guessing the average shop probably charges around $4k. DO NOT reseal the old plate just buy a new one. goodluck

Thanks for the info s5benzo, I will check it out sometime this week and see exactly where it leaks, wish it wasn't raining today otherwise I would have a better look and understanding to whats going on. I will keep you posted. My question is how much in parts would it cost me if I would do it myself. I have mechanical experience with regular vehicles but never have i worked with a Benz yet. This will be something new for me. And could you give me a parts list to what I need for this job.
