question..
has anyone ever seen a silver S class with their chrome grill painted silver? pics maybe? if not, would it look good? i was thinking about doing it to my car. i already have the chrome headlight rings and doing so might accent the car even more. or maybe i should paint both the grill and the headlight rings? hehe

Shaggy, I saw a Brabus "S" one time on EBay that was all "pimped out"(I mean that in a good way--kind of). But it had the entire Grille painted brilliant silver and it looked VERY nice--it gave the front part of the car a very clean, brilliant look to it--it looked very classy. I bought the Sports Grille (the nice one with the big star, not the cheap ones that sell on EBay for $150.00) and it came unpainted so I had to have the frame of it painted, but I went ahead and had the whole grille except for the chrome strips painted silver. It is a good "middle of the road" option. The problem with painting over the chrome part is that paint doesnt adhere very well to it even if you prime it and do everything right. There have been a few posts on here where people had mentioned the same thing. It will look good for a few weeks and then you will start to have problems with peeling, etc. Just make sure you have plenty of touch-up paint.
