Garage Door opener - again!
Hi Guys,
was wondering if anybody has ran into this issue. I have an older Craftsman garage door opener. It appears to be a rolling code version all the same. I have been through the process several times following the instructions to the letter where I initially sync the remote to the transmitter in the rear view mirror. Then I set the opener into "learn" mode, press the button on the mirror the appropriate number of times, the garage door opener flashes its lights acknowledging the new remote. The door can be opened once down and up. I then try again and it looks like I am back to scratch again where nothing works. Same result several times. I might be stupid but seem to be following the steps to the T.
Not sure I am doing something wrong here but looking for someone to put me right!

Sorry to say, I have a craftsman garage door opener to, and it does the same thing my friend. I do not know if it is the code/frequentcy, but NONE of my german cars has EVER work with my opener's. PS, Audi, BMW, and Benz. 02-09.

2000ZX12 I kind of had the same problem with a Sears craftsman garage door opener. It worked fine and then it would intermittently stop. I resynchronized all of the codes both in the car and on the garage door and it worked for a while and stopped again. Finally, after getting totally frustrated I added a piece of copper speaker wire to make the antenna wire a little longer (not long enough to touch the car), unplugged the garage door opener, plugged it back in and now the little button on the mirror will open the door about 50 yards away. Don't know if this will work for you but it just might and it doesn't cost anything to try. Hope it works out for you.
