Hi All,
Replaced the pump, original MB from DCParts in Scotland, very helpful and only £300, they list them on ebay.
Car now rises as it should but if left over night will still drop at front, but not at rear.
Any one had similar experience and suggest where leak is most likely.
My car had the modified pump and strut tops which I presume must have been done on a recall.
Does the pump fill the cylinder first and then the cylinder feeds the valve block.

Do you park on an incline surface ? It may be trying to level itself

park in a flat surface overnight to confirm

Check on top of the struts (where normally shock absorbers would be). It has black epoxy on top. Put some soapy water on the epoxy and start the car. If you get bubbles, it means the seal UNDER the epoxy is leaking. There is a kit from Mercedes with parts to replace the seals. You need a special tool (I made my own) to remove the seals. If you look at past posts, the are people who will tell how to replace the epoxy, but this will at best, only temporarily fix a leak. Like putting a patch a tire, when the hole is in the innertube. MB will be happy to do it, but expen$ive.
I don't think the problem is parking on a hill.
