S350 Upsolute chip tuning

Hey guys,

I am interested in chip tuning my car and found this company that are willing to flash my ecu for 600$. They claim a 25 HP and 30 Nm gain in power and torque. Should I go for it? the engine has 190000 KM on it so I don't know if the power increase would be noticable or if it is worth the money. Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks!

If it were that easy, why didn't Mercedes do it?

theres actually a lot of reasons, the main one being that MB build a very large safety margin into the tunes of their cars. conservative timing, rich a/f ratios, etc. By tuning a bit of that margin out, you can gain some power.

I tend to find the claimed gains to be a bit optimistic and I doubt you'll feel much, but if you have the cash to spend and desperately want more performance, its probably your best choice in mods.

Would you do it if you had some cash to blow? Thing is, I am looking to buy a new car in about a year or two from now so it would be nice to have this tune to feel a difference since there is no other way of squeezing more power out of the engine. I get bored of owning anything for too long so hopefully this will keep me from buying a new car too early.

I did an OE tuning tune on my car. I felt little to no difference.

If you want a new car soon, I wouldn't bother.
