Hi Everyone,

New to this forum so hope I get a good welcome

I purchased my S Class last month. Always driven Mercedes
Previously having a R129 and a 300CE

Love this Mercedes. Always wanted one and bought this one now.
Have many questions to ask the experts but firstly I having been wondering whether I can simply swap the pre-facelift tailights to the facelift ones straight or do I need any mods to do this.

Sorry - I have a 2002 Pre facelift S320 CDI

Are you upgrading from the 2002 to the 2003-2006 taillights? If so, it is relatively easy, I had 2001 S500 and to upgrade to the 2003 and beyond taillights all I had to do was snip one bolt from the 2003 taillights and they fit perfectly. Everything else was plug and play no special wiring required.

Thanks!!! I am going to attempt this next week now. will post some pictures of my car then to. Feel embarrassed with the pre facelift taillights.
