Hello! I have a 2005 S500. The door locks and trunk opener stopped working recently and I'm having trouble figuring out what might be the problem. The doors will not respond to the remote nor interior buttons. Same applies to the trunk. The soft close also stopped working but has been giving me trouble. I tried the fuse trick (f62) and that always seemed to work on the soft close feature. F62 is fine but F59 keeps blowing. I don't hear any noise/sounds when I try to open the trunk or lock/unlock the doors. The alarm, however, still works. Does this sound like I need to replace the PSE pump?

While a STAR diagnosis by a dealer or competent independent will be a little expensive, it will probably be a lot cheaper than throwing parts at the problem, hoping that one of them will fix it.

One of the best things that you can do is to find an honest, competent independent with a STAR system.
