2003 W220 AUX PORT
I have an 2003 s500 with navigation and inside glove box is an aux port. I plugged in my phone to play music but there is not aux option that I can find on the command unit. Is there a special station it must be on to function or is there an option on the radio that I am not aware of?.

You didn't tell us what continent you live on, and COMANDS differ - but if in the U.S., you can download a copy of the COMAND manual for your car at http://home.earthlink.net/~phdwebsite/comand_manual.htm - it will tell you how to select AUX.

I never tried playing music via my phone in the AUX port but I do know that my ipod works there with a connection cable. The IPOD plays but the only button that work on the steering wheel are the volume up and down. You will not be able to see what is playing via the command. Other than that it works perfect.

I play Pandora on my iPhone 5 through the AUX port and it works great, BUT for some reason, the Bass setting does not stay saved after I turn the ignition off.
If I adjust the fader 1 step to the rear it will save that setting, but if I adjust the bass a few steps up it doesn't save it the next time I plug in to it.
Does anybody else have that problem?

It really doesn't save the settings at least not in my car. Everything has to be changed manually after you use the aux port and going back to regular CD.
