God, Allah, Yaweh, Jehova, or whoever help me if I had to pay retail for all this stuff and couldn't have done the work myself...... Most prices are from sources I looked up on here of what people paid.... If I'm off let me know

Diagnostic to find out it was the telepone module 500.00
1 Rear Airmatic Shock 500.00 (going through arnott and paying someone for the Install)
1 Front Airmatic Shock 500.00 (going through arnott and paying someone for the Install)
Compressor 400.00
Airmatic control module 600.00
One new SAM Unit 850.00
Professional Headlamp restore 100.00
First set of wheels 1000.00 (cheap 20's with no name tires)

Do to favors, and connections, and people owing me one, I'm only really out about 500 bucks so far . now I just need someone to owe me a wood grain steering wheel an ill be content.

Keep it everyone

I had the ability to get one back in march. I should have made an offer, there was a parts car in the back that had it... now , 9 months later it just sits there rotting and the wood wheel is cracked and molded... So sad to see. only thing wrong with the car was a bad trans but now its a parts car.

Reason I didn't was I thought disconnecting the airbag would send up a warning light so I didn't bother because at the time I didn't have access to a Star machine.. Ill see if I can make a cheap offer for it tomorrow. sand paper and varnish you say?

2003 S500 - Toyota Corolla (in the rain)
Car looks great. I would love a wood steering wheel but have the heated option and don't know if it would work. Also would love the wood shift knob but have the keyless start (which I love) but don't know if the wood would work.

I'm not complaining because my car has every option including the split rear reclining seats.

Solved

Never should have bought cheap wheels, the car clearly got angry and has been pouting since :-) I think there is a widely accepted thought that we don't own any of these cars for the inexpensive repair bills. My wife makes the point quite clear when she says "sell it and get a chevy" I quietly sulk back to my office and say nothing.... they are amazing machines. (BTW, she wont sell hers either)

I agree with the cheap wheel part. The car rides 100% better with the amg wheels and it's a lot faster. I learned that lesson 12 years ago. Bad wheels will screw up the suspension and ride real quick. All is good now

I'm pretty frugal and cheap. First let me see if I can get and restore the one at the parts yard. If I can't restore it I'll send a ya a pm , thanks. Does anyone know about having to reset the system when unplugging the airbag?

vm, make sure thet the key is out of the car and you wont have a code, like 20 feet away.
