OOOOHHHH MODED.

The world needs people like you, to make it easier for people like me to tolerate people like you.

This is over and done with. You drive yours, I drive mine. You speak ghetto, I prefer being educated and articulate. You park on your lawn and wish you drove something that you don't? Fine. You have the right.

Now it's done.

Here's some really, really amateur shots of my car, post-carwash....Sorry for the quality, I took them with an HTC Hermes, I didn't have the 10 MP on me.

Looking to change it up so please (respectfully) make some suggestions!

It looks great the way it is... I love it.

One thing I would try is maybe the chrome headlight trim delete?

Paint the lower grill black?

Thanks! Yeah I plan on removing the chrome trim but sometimes I look at it and I like it enough to leave it..

I also considered painting the bottom as you said but I'm afraid it may just look like it's missing!

Glad its over because you said so thank you Mr. Etiquette Eloquent speaking man. Also, I don't like the big Benz grill it takes away from the beauty of the car. I actually like your car except for that. I chose the smaller one because the big one belongs on the SUV's IMO. Keeping on rolling....

For some reason the wing does not flow with the rest of the car IMO

I didn't care much for the Brabus tips that came on the exhaust, so I had AMG tips installed. I plan on changing the whole exhaust setup to an Eisenmann I think..unless theres something better out there?

Would a resonator delete sound good our cars?

It's actually simple to DIY.

Perhaps some floss and some goo-gone?

I don't understand the fascination there appear's to be in America with after-market wheels. Over here they are very much looked down upon by anyone other than Council estate types (free/cheap housing provided by the government to people on benefits), and are generally only found on old Ford's and Honda's and the like. I cant help but think that they just look plain wrong on a car as nice as the S-class.

What's wrong with a good old set of AMG 19's? Who agrees that they look infinitely less tacky than after-market solutions?

Are you serious??? I thought that what we did to our cars was our business. I understand that you like the 19" AMG's and that's your opinion. What you refer to as people who have rims on their cars are ghetto people. I highly doubt you'll find a W220 in the ghetto man. People put 22's and 24's on the W221. I've seen a Phantom on 22's here. If you don't like "OUR" rides sounds like a personal problem.

As a British expat (from about 25miles south on the A34 from you) now living in the US I completely agree.

If I were to upgrade wheels (or anything really) it'd only be to OEM stuff. Most aftermarket wheels look nasty IMO.

You just posted some pics of your S600, oh sorry I mean, S500, back up the thread. Maybe it is just your internet demeanor that is straight 'outta Compton'...

I wasn't criticising your car directly, rather i was referring to the whole car "scene" over in the states.

You seem to be very sensitive, i think you need to calm down.

It's one of those things that we over in the states take pride in. Its the individuality of our cars and how it expresses who we are. Its obviously different in all countries right? As you mentioned Toyota's and Honda's those are fixed up over here as well. Your statement was actually demeaning to us.

And to Fraser where is Compton???

I did not mean to cause offence, i was merely passing an observation from across the pond as to our opinions on wheels on premium cars such as the S-class, we very much like to keep them as OEM as possible. As someone with such a deeply engraved mindset as that, its hard not to comment
