I have a 500 CLOWN!!! I'm sure a Salvaged One if you're smart you'd know prices are determined by location. In Cali you can buy any S CLASS for next to nothing like your 03 for 10k in Florida not so as our parking lots are swamped with C-Classes and E classes the market here are for those. Where as the least you can pick up a 2k 430 is 12k and a 2k 500 is about 15k. I've seen a friend buy a car just like yours for 19k as a Repo (SL) so location means everything man. Keep it moving...

Nice!!!
Loving it! Careful not to over accessorize....its not how much stuff you put on it, but what you put on it. Headlights are killah!

I find it funny I own a car lot in Tampa and am doing well at it. If you're in the car business then you know I'm telling the truth!!! What the ill informed public doesn't know is not my business. Trade ins are a joke. I love when someone brings a trade. And maybe we should all be clowns its recession proof. FYI the type of cars I deal in is recession proof and you know what I mean. To the ones who think GTA wow grow up. I'm accustomed to how much faker the online world is than real life!!!

You guys are silly with all that back n forth. It simply boils down to each is own. First anyone with an admittedly (badge only) clone should expect to get some flack here on MBworld
2ndly Aftermarket wheels aren't for everyone, it's personal preference, many, many new car buyers are opting for aftermarket wheels straight from the dealer. Personally I only like MB logo'd aftermarket rims, and don't' prefer chrome, but again that's just MY opinion.
Please let's keep the name calling to a minimum, I find all this Ghetto, straight outta Compton talk is subtlety offensive.

trudawg I feel you. I'm actually over it, if people asked they would've known it was purchased that way and I personally don't want to change it. I'm not posing I just don't fell like going through the motions of changing my preference. I've posted numerous times to PM if they want to go back and forth. It's bad when people coming on aren't even getting what the board is made for. Another thing is if a person puts S-BLING on their car it would be some slack. People always have a way of being bigger than they are online. I saw a W221 that said S-BLING on it and it put any one of our cars on hold. I like my car and will continue to post. To continue with the trash is like
I'm not changing my car for no one.

I don't understand the fascination there appear's to be in America with after-market wheels. Over here they are very much looked down upon by anyone other than Council estate types (free/cheap housing provided by the government to people on benefits), and are generally only found on old Ford's and Honda's and the like. I cant help but think that they just look plain wrong on a car as nice as the S-class.
What's wrong with a good old set of AMG 19's? Who agrees that they look infinitely less tacky than after-market solutions?

The colour is Almandin Schwartz, it looks black at night, but shines kind of purple in the sun.
Only cosmetic stuff from a standard '99 SWB (LWB is ridiculous here, i have enough trouble getting into London underground Victorian built car parks as it is!) are the fact its fully face lifted, slightly lower, and has the AMG 19's and quad tailpipes.
Thanks for the kind comments.

Out of interest, do you guys get away with having no front plate, your SL looks really nice without one (other than those crappy orange lights on the corners, but looking at all of your cars i guess those are law there)?
How do the camera's over there (talking ANPR speed/car park entry/congestion charging/insurance/tax systems) work without a front plate?

My 2000 S430 with AMG 19s, upgraded headlamps
My 2000 S430 which I have had now about 7 months.
68K
19 AMG's chrome
Upgraded Xenon Headlamps
Upgraded Mirror Turn Signals
Upgraded Tailights
Came debadged and with the above mentioned upgrades.
Things I wish it had:
New stereo/navi, this is my biggest issue. The car old navi is CD based, small and ungly the way its integrated into the dash. My stereo CD changer doesnt work at all and the stereo itself gets aweful static and feedback so its unusable.
The awkward size of this stereo/navi setup has kept me from replacing the whole thing. Over the holidays I am gonna do major research on getting it replaced. With two weeks off from work hopefully a good and affordable solution will come up.
Rear power seats, yeah I dont really need em as I live alone now that I am divorced, but they would be nice.
A new steering wheel. Mine is the cheap ugly standard one, I know people do upgrade these to the ones with wood trim etc. Gotta see what this will run and do it.
Ipod integration (will get it in the new stereo)
Bluetooth as in CA its illegal to talk on the cell when driving now.
A nice looking exhaust like my E350 had, the nice twin chrome pipes on the E350 were sweet. If its not to much $$ AND looks classy not tacky a new twin pipe setup would be welcome
THe E350 had the cool sunscreen that rose in the rear window, miss this a lot. Adding one is clearly not an option here.
The Good:
SO far its been a great car. WIth 0 down my payments over 5 years are $310 per month so that's about half my my 2008 E350 lease payments were. I needed to save $$ with the divorce and so far I think this car was a good gamble for saving $$ and still driving a nice car. It will be paid off in 4 years and change as opposed to the E350 being a lease with nothing to show after 48 months.
The car looks modern and very nice. Black shows the dirt but I wash it weekly and the classic black MB color is a statement.
Love all the room in this baby. I have a very short commute now (8 miles round trip) so I dont care about gas mileage (even when gas was $4.75 a gallon)
Little touches like the backlit powerseat controls and the little vanity lights in the backseat near the floor in front of each passenger's feet are really classy and practical. THE extra rear seat ac/heat vents on the pillars are a nice touch.
WIll get her washed and cleaned up and post new pics. Here are a couple I have already taken (in one you can see my two benzes before i unloaded the E350)

Some of these cars are nice I like how everyone has their own feel to the cars. But some of you are just children you make fun of one another about the cars. And about country's face it people are different.
