W220 Official Picture thread!!!
Loving it! Careful not to over accessorize....its not how much stuff you put on it, but what you put on it. Headlights are killah!

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
ok im s500 man.....you should be s600 clown man lol
2ndly Aftermarket wheels aren't for everyone, it's personal preference, many, many new car buyers are opting for aftermarket wheels straight from the dealer. Personally I only like MB logo'd aftermarket rims, and don't' prefer chrome, but again that's just MY opinion.
Please let's keep the name calling to a minimum, I find all this Ghetto, straight outta Compton talk is subtlety offensive.
I'm not changing my car for no one.

What's wrong with a good old set of AMG 19's? Who agrees that they look infinitely less tacky than after-market solutions?

Only cosmetic stuff from a standard '99 SWB (LWB is ridiculous here, i have enough trouble getting into London underground Victorian built car parks as it is!) are the fact its fully face lifted, slightly lower, and has the AMG 19's and quad tailpipes.
Thanks for the kind comments.

How do the camera's over there (talking ANPR speed/car park entry/congestion charging/insurance/tax systems) work without a front plate?

68K
19 AMG's chrome
Upgraded Xenon Headlamps
Upgraded Mirror Turn Signals
Upgraded Tailights
Came debadged and with the above mentioned upgrades.
Things I wish it had:
New stereo/navi, this is my biggest issue. The car old navi is CD based, small and ungly the way its integrated into the dash. My stereo CD changer doesnt work at all and the stereo itself gets aweful static and feedback so its unusable.
The awkward size of this stereo/navi setup has kept me from replacing the whole thing. Over the holidays I am gonna do major research on getting it replaced. With two weeks off from work hopefully a good and affordable solution will come up.
Rear power seats, yeah I dont really need em as I live alone now that I am divorced, but they would be nice.
A new steering wheel. Mine is the cheap ugly standard one, I know people do upgrade these to the ones with wood trim etc. Gotta see what this will run and do it.
Ipod integration (will get it in the new stereo)
Bluetooth as in CA its illegal to talk on the cell when driving now.
A nice looking exhaust like my E350 had, the nice twin chrome pipes on the E350 were sweet. If its not to much $$ AND looks classy not tacky a new twin pipe setup would be welcome
THe E350 had the cool sunscreen that rose in the rear window, miss this a lot. Adding one is clearly not an option here.
The Good:
SO far its been a great car. WIth 0 down my payments over 5 years are $310 per month so that's about half my my 2008 E350 lease payments were. I needed to save $$ with the divorce and so far I think this car was a good gamble for saving $$ and still driving a nice car. It will be paid off in 4 years and change as opposed to the E350 being a lease with nothing to show after 48 months.
The car looks modern and very nice. Black shows the dirt but I wash it weekly and the classic black MB color is a statement.
Love all the room in this baby. I have a very short commute now (8 miles round trip) so I dont care about gas mileage (even when gas was $4.75 a gallon)
Little touches like the backlit powerseat controls and the little vanity lights in the backseat near the floor in front of each passenger's feet are really classy and practical. THE extra rear seat ac/heat vents on the pillars are a nice touch.
WIll get her washed and cleaned up and post new pics. Here are a couple I have already taken (in one you can see my two benzes before i unloaded the E350)

by law here in RI front plates are a must , I got a 5 day tag once for it !!!!! you have to appear with the car at any inspection location with the front plate ON
and get an official state stamp so you can mail it in , i stuck my plates nicely on my mesh and got it stamped
also all US cars the orange markers do come stock due to US regulations , but i never thought about changing it to clear ones $50 on eBay maybe one day!!!! F** the front plates both of my cars have none Last edited by m4xm1l10n; Dec 18, 2008 at 11:43 PM.
