Firmware update Command
Ok so the original firmware was still loaded on my W220 1999 S class.
The navigation disk is also 1999.
I have now purchased and downloaded (Using the correct procedures) the latest software/firmware for my 2.5 head unit, which is version CD MY 2001.
And dated as Stand 07/2002.
The difference seems to be a very nice Mercedes logo on start up with a DX logo in its bottom right corner.
Also what a pain getting my original disk which is tele atlas 1999-I to load.
However all done now and the units speaking to me and writing in English instead of german.
Now for my question.
Apart from the Merc Splash screen, what advantages or improvements are made to the unit with this upgrade.
