Yeah mine do it on there own. When I lock the car the mirrors fold in and when I unlock the car and open the door they unfold. Its actually pretty nice. Dont have to worry about anyone running into your mirror while the car is parked. My car has been at the body shop and the advisor called me saying they had broken my mirrors. When I told them that the mirrors fold and unfold automatically they were shocked. They said they had never seen any mercedes that did that.

I think this feature started with the 2003 models. I wonder if the older ones could be programmed to fold automatically...

awiner, do you think it might be possible to get older models to do this through firmware or anything, or are there actually different mechanisms in the 2003's?
