2001 S430 Rear Passenger Air ride lower the rest of car
Hey good morning my friends and fellow technicians
it seems that it is always something with my w 220 but its good because im in a tech school for automotive , the car is constantly pushing me and forcing me to excel as a mechanic ! Now after I found a cracked hose on the airmatic pump two weeks back and repaired it I have noticed that the rear passenger side air suspension is much lower than the rest of the car does some one know how I would go about viewing the top of the air strut itself from inside of the trunk perhaps ? is that possible ? any tips & instructions would be greatly appreciated

Open the right rear door. Look on the flat area under the corner of the rear window and find the snap-on cover. Snap it off, and you will be looking at the air line and connector.

I couldn't find a smap off cover do you mean in the truck of the car ? also is there an inspection cover on the top of the air strut itself ?

Perhaps it is different in your car. In my car, the following will work:
(1) Open the right rear door.
(2) Stick your head inside and look to your left.
(3) Move your head to the rear of the car until you bump into the glass of the rear window.
(4) Look straight down on the flat area under the corner of the rear window and find the snap-on cover.
(5) Grasp the edges of the cover and snap it off, and you will be looking at the air line and connector.

Start at the top of the page (where it says "Start Here"), and search for "fuse chart". Even better, there are several threads there on Airmatic problems that will give you info that might actually help you.
