Front Seats..

Hey guys, for all of you that own an S-Class. I was wondering if you have the same problem that I have. When I raise/lower the seat, do you gets a rubbing noise? My sear rubs with the center area of the car. I was just wondering if you guys have dealt with this. My dealership ship says that nothing can be done about it because the piece that is rubbin is there to keep garbage from falling into the site of the seat. Can you guys let me know if you have the same problem? I know that when I got my car a year ago, this didn't happen. Thanks for your help guys.

Yes, my moms S class does the same thing. Except it doesn't do it when the seat goes up ad down, it does it when the top part of the seat goes forward and backward.

Just clean out junk from between that piece and the center console. Take some cheap leather conditioner and rub it into the side console making it slick. I think that should take away the noise.

more annoying, my dirvers seat has started to squeak on bumps and corners when it's cold. the first trip to the dealer resulted in a factory ordered modification.
This may have made it worse. oh well back to the dealer.

You think going to the dealership the 2nd time is a hassle? I've been to the dealership like 6 times for my seats... My seats squeaked, headrest rattled, had both front seat frames replaced, knocking on my seats and so on... But finally things are fixed except for the rubbing part which sucks... Oh well...
