Alternative to Pentosin
I am in the process of replacing my hydraulic fluid and trying to find out if there is an alternative to the Pentosin fluid. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.(if not where can I get Pentosin for less than $18usd)

If you're doing the whole system flush, then there is this alternative:
At $11/liter...
At $11/liter...

All my readings have indicated that Pentosin has a shelf life..... my question: is buying 20L over kill being that I most likely wont replace the fluid again for another 3-4 years? (a group buy would be awesome right now) lol
Someone correct me if I am wrong. 10L should be more than enough fluid to flush the whole system?

I used this pentosin alternative when I replaced my abc pump (complete system flush) on my '05 S600 with No issues. No doubt there may be some naysayers, but it worked for me.

($212.62) with free shipping.
Don't forget, Pentosin is Hygroscopic (absorbs water) same as brake fluid so it must be sealed and stored properly for the next flush cycle.

I recently bought a 20 liter jug from Amazon and did the ABC flush. The seal on the pouring mouth of the jug is very good, but I also put a thin film of plastic across the opening before I put the seal cap back on and tightened it. Don't want the balance of about 9 liters absorbing water over the next ~2 years!!
