I had the dealership lower my vechicle. They adjusted between 1-2.0 inches, but since it is airmatic suspension you vehicle height will fluxuate depending on the weather. My car has a 3.5-4.0 finger gap, but it will vary since heat and cold play a major part in airmatic. It seemed really hard for them to adjust each side exactly the same since it is running on air, I've had my car in and out the shop 4-5 times, so that they could get it right. So far so good. There is a limit to how low they can set it to. I have 18inch AMG rims and kit! Hope this helps. Oh and does the RB tech kit ruin the camber on the benz because the technician says adjusting it systematicallly doesn't affect the ride and warranty.

You can always have it lowered for free just by keeping the car above 55mph. :p

EVERYONE WHO wants in please email me at tmushy@socal.rr.com so i know exactly how many people before i go there and negotiate. i will make sure it include instructions on how to install ( thats why I wanted to talk to him in person). Price were looking at should be under 300 dollars for the kit. The more the lower im sure we can go.

For all you who are interested in buying the RB Tech kit: Once we receive it and install it, the question is how much should we lower it? If you look at the official picture thread, Eriktu is the only car I've seen that's dropped the car using RB Tech's kit. (not to mention it looks much better than without the drop) I asked him how much he lowered it and he told me he just told the shop to lower it so there's no gap. I know the rb tech has an adjustable drop from 1.25" - 2.00". Also, the airmatic rises and lowers the car by 0.75". I didn't have any problems after putting on my 20" wheels. How low can I drop the car while at the same time avoiding any problems like rubbing, etc.

...one more thing

somebody from a different forum said he lowered his W220 about 1.5" - 2.0" just from taking it to the dealer. my question is why should we even bother with the rb tech kit if our dealer can simply do it for us?

Armani- the dealer can lower the car via the Airmatic program, but the trick is finding a dealer that knows how to do it. Some dealers in the larger cities have done them, but alot don't know how. The difficult part is getting the computer to save new electrical values that need to be input to set the new level for each corner. BTW, this method only lowers the car 1/2-1 inch at the most.

Crankin, I thought the same as you until i saw this post by: dtxmob

which is why I had to confirm. I've already been sold. I purchased the kit from tmushy and am (un)patiently waiting...

so how much should the car be lowered? the kit's range is from 1.2 - 2". i looked at my car (off) and just eye balling it i'm thinking of doing 1.2" drop in the rear and maybe about 1.5" in the front. if anyone can help out with this i'd appreciate it.

How the heck do you adjust this rb tech thing? Do you have to get under the car and manually adjust brackets, or is there a control of some type??

PRETTY SURE IT'S ADJUSTED MANUALLY? LIKE FULL TURNS OF THE BOLT. EACH FULL TURN = 360 DEGREES AND JUST MEASURE THAT WAY...
