S500 4-matic, A champ in snow (14") and even acted as a towtruck =P

Today the S 4-matic had a chance to prove itself, and that it did, and then some!! We got 14" of snow within the last two days. My dad's Boxster S was stuck and needed to me moved to a safe parking lot until it was safe to drive it home or flatbed it. The roads where the BoxsterS was stuck on were not plowed yet so the Benz had to go through the full brunt of the storm. We raised the car up, put it in C mode and it did just fine. Now for the fun part, I put the tow hook in the rear bumper of the benz and another hook on the front bumper of the Porsche. The Benz was the pulling the Porsche as long as it (MB) had good footing. At one point the S500 actually pulled the Porsche outta of a snow drift, and up a hill. Of course the Benz would get stuck every now and then but that extra torque really helped!! Today it earned its keep and a place in the garage. We were all impressed.

On a side note I noticed a pretty big crack on the right side of the windshield. This was after MB Morristown serviced the wipers. Do you think this could have anything to do with it. No objects hit the windshield while my mom had been driving it for the past 24 hours.

Does yours have the sport package. I have been wanting to hear about how a 4matic with sport package handles.

No Sport Package, if you get sport just get a set of winter rims/tires and you'll be fine. My mom's car has 225 17" all around, mich mxv4.

Well if you order a sport 4matic combo, you get the same size rims in back as front and the tires are not performance. That is what I heard. I know some theres somebody on here with it. His member name was MOOKIE I think. I will check.
