Does anybody know where to purchase a replica AMG kit for the 220 that's made of urethane? I've seen the fiberglass ones but I prefer not to work with such a cheap material. Thanks.

Why not? Some of the prices I've seen for the genuine amg kit is pretty ridiculous. If I had ordered the car from mercedes I would actually save money by opting for the sports package compared to just buying the amg body parts now. If you know who sells amg bumpers/side skirts for a reasonable price let me know.

Replicas are what Civics put on.... get proper OEM Benz equipment.

I'd be concern about fitment/alignment...some of the replica kits I've seen needed custom fitments...just more headaches.

Rich, I've considered the same thing. The reason why I'm contemplating is because I'd be getting the kit from "www.erebunicorp.com" which is supposedly a better body kit company who usually make body components that have excellent, if not perfect fitment.

Glad you mentioned Erebuni...their warehouse is local here btw...I had purchased a rear wing from them and the dam thing started to bow about 3 months later...looked real funky.

My buddy had the same experience w/his rear wing...personally I wouldn't recommend them...when I brought mine back to show them...they really didn't have a clue to what cause this. I have to admit their prices are competitive...but never will I do business w/them.

I ended up purchasing a Lorinser wing from CEC...my buddy their explained the wing bowed due to lack of inner kevlar materials.

Also, the Erebuni wing recommended to drill holes, came with screws...I wouldn't do it, just use heavy-duty double-side tape and a 3M adhesive promoter.

Just my 2 cents

I appreciate you letting me know about that. I'm not sure now. I like the AMG look on the s class unfortunately it didn't come with the sport package. If I chose to get genuine amg i'm afraid it'd be too costly. the only way I would purchase the real kit would be if I knew I could sell it back on eBay and get the majority of what I spend back...?

I didn't mean to discourage you from buying from Erebuni...I'm sure some of their products are worth buying otherwise they would not be in business... just make sure their warranty is in your favor.

AMG package does compliment the cars line well...Source out other MBZ classifieds (BNZsport.com, mbnz.org & mercedesshop.com) Something is bound to attract your interest.

I do recall a guy named Indra selling replica kits on this forum do a search...He resides in Indonesia and my contact their tells me the kits are just so-so quality.

If I come across something, I let you know.

Good Luck

Unfortunately, for a used kit, you'll never get close to what you spent back on a kit (or anything else) because the incentive for buying your used product is gone if someone could get the product new for not much more.

yea that's true. my dilemma is that i want the amg look without paying the hefty price of the authentic amg parts. i talked to someone who said they went ahead with the replica kit and it came out perfect. but even if it didn't line up perfectly the body shop who'd be doing the installation would make modifications to do so, am i wrong? btw, i like what you've done to your clk. lookin good...
what did it cost you to have your kit painted and installed that way i have an idea of what i'm looking at.

I'm looking to do the same to Lorinser or WALD specs this Spring - here are a couple links of co.s that I've been considering - anybody have feedback on either?
