2002 S600 90k -- value and tips for purchase?
I'm looking to buy a clean 1-owner estate sale (auction) 2002 S600 with around 90k on it. Unfortunately I can't really drive it, but I can start and play with it in a fixed location. They will drive it around the street a little bit, park it, then sell it to highest bidder.
Is there any big things I should look for in this environment?
Given the circumstances, as long as the basic inspection looks ok, what is a fair price for this type of vehicle? $6-8k?

There are lots of big things to consider, but you won't necessarily see them at an inspection.
At some point during the cars life, the following things are likely to fail, and repairs are extortionate unless you're very good at DIY:
Engine oil cooler
Coil packs
ABC pump
ABC struts
ABC valve block
PSE pump
Everybody will shortly tell you to avoid this car like the plague, and save up for the 2003 model.
However, I've owned TWO 2000 S600's, and the only problems I had were a worn ball joint and a PSE pump.
So its not so much the problems that you need to look for , but the risks that you will be incurring in the future. As well as opinions, there's lots of practical help to be had here.
I would start by reading the W220's wikis/guides on various websites, such as the sticky at the top of this forum.
