Weird S320 2001

Dears,

I've been searching in the market for sometime now for a mint condition S320 2001/2002 I've finally found one almost flawless inside and out but it has NO sunroof and NO parktronic! Yet it has all the other S-Class options like Memory seats, leather seats, heated/cooled seats electric rear window sun-shade, nav!

I was wondering from which market was this? Because I can't seem to find anywhere online an S320 without sunroof and without parktronic! also I noticed the exhaust tips are not chromed and not pointing out instead they are pointed down and not visible to the eye unless you look underneath the car! Please help as I might be purchasing this car today or at least taking it for inspection. I am located in the middle east and the damage for purchasing this beauty would be around 5500 USD.

I am wondering if anyone knows if this car is a freak of nature haha I really can't find any info about the exact model without sunroof or parktronics

Mercedes will build you a car with almost any option that you want, or without almost any option that you want. The options on this car are the ones that the original purchaser selected...

Thank you a lot as I was worried when I was the chart of standard and optional gizmos in the S320 and I saw the Sunroof and Parktronic are a standard. So you think if I purchase this can I install the parktronics later on? or that needs to be a whole different story?

If you are trying to add you are better off buying one with them already on. The price of adding those to the car (factory) are way beyond what it is worth

I agree with VM. The wiring and cutting a hole in the roof could get very costly and leaves the potential of leaks in the roof. Go for a model that already have these options.

The demand for a used S class especially W220 is quite low. Its already 2 generations old, so you might as well get a good 2004 S430 with 7g tronic. Usually about 95% of the time they will have a sunroof. Got my 2003 S430 with 112k miles for only $5600 USD.
