Red face air suspension

I changed out the lower ball joints and all the control arms on the right side of my 2001 S500 that has 130k miles. Now the air ride shock on the front right side does not full lift the suspension. It was working perfectly before replacing the control arms and ball joints. I drive this car every day so need to get this fixed right away Please advise any insights that may re-set the shock or did I damage the air shock when I left it extended over night as it took me the better part of the day and next morning to complete the job and reassemble. The car was on jack stands overnight with shock fully extended.

Was it necessary to disconnect the battery before this work was done?

Is it necessary to reprogram the suspension system to enable proper ride height?

Did I damage my strut by leaving it extended overnight? Thanks in advance!

Hanging the suspension on jack stands should not hurt anything but if you failed to torque all of your suspension components in the "ready to drive condition", you may have set up a binding situation.

See attached instruction,

Very carefully check the electrical connectors and harness on the strut.

Inspect the ride height sensor near the upper end of the strut, and compare it to the one on the other side to make certain that it is not damaged or disconnected.

i did this and it fixed my problem, check the connectors for the strut and the speed signal, they are tricky to push back in so double check them.
