2001 s500 amg. Need tow hook covers. Are they different for amg?

Nope, but there is no such thing as 2001 S500 AMG. It is an S500 with the AMG sport package. The parts are color coded so you will need your VIN# in order to get the correct part.

Here is the info for your buddy's car. I suppose you might even be able to pick them up on EBAY or find someone that is parting out a car and paint afterwards. According to the info the car you are working with is Black.
