V12tt thermostat??
Hey all. Anybody know of you can get a thermostat for this motor, without spending $400 for the whole housing?? I'd love to just replace the pellet if one is available. 10 years and 83k miles on this car. I had a 10yr old Mazda melt down when the thermostat stuck shut. Would hate that to happen the the fine 12cyl.

Just keep an eye on the temperature gauge. The W220 temperature gauge is live and doesn't "lie" about the temperature. But for the M275, if you want to buy it from a dealer, it is the whole assembly. What you can do is try to find a used but not so old thermostat and put it in. Personally i've never encountered a thermostat stuck closed, only stuck open. But surf around on eBay, you can prob find something there.

You will get warnings of overheating, and the gauge is accurate. In addition, "new" is not the same as "better". What you have has worked well, and will very likely continue to do so. Why not just relax and enjoy the ride?
