w220 seat removal

I can't tell you how to separate the upper cushion from the frame at this moment, but I just removed two front W220 seats and replaced them. It is fairly easy and there are some factory instructions on how to do it, but they were of limited help.
Too remove entire front seat from car (*basic instructions from memory):
(1) move the seat all the way forward via the door switch
(2) remove skinny plastic cover at rear rail (not entire plastic cover) to gain access to "star" screw
(3) remove star screws on both sides
(4) remove head rests (optional)- angle seat to recline and pull straight back, then put seat back in normal upright position
(5) move seat back and repeat steps 2 and 3 for the front
(6) remove connectors that are in the front (you can tilt the seat back to get access), there are at least two, I think there are three (on large, on next to it, and one small yellow one)
(7) disconnect skinny cable from seat assembly (again tilt seat back for easy access)
(8) seat can come out of car- many use back door, I have done both ways and find front door removal easier with one person
At this point you can examine your seat to see how to remove top half.
