I bought a pair of S600 front rotors for my S500 from a guy who was parting his car.

Unfortunately, they were too big for the 500 calipers.

I'm sure they will be a good fit for you if you find your 600 calipers are too big for the 500 rotors.
Ill sell the 600 rotors to you.

Good luck.

I will buy the rotors if I am able to fit the S600 calipers to my S500 Wish someone that knows for sure will chime in and tell us if that is possible or not...

I dont see why not, just twist the brake line fitting from the 500 caliper and install 600 caliper, then bleed the brakes.

Just a guess as im not 100% sure but it seems straightforward.

Not sure if the two 17mm? bolts will line up with the hub and the 600 caliper.

Exactly, the 600 caliper being bigger I don't know if it will line up with the 500 set up. Maybe I should get the spindle from the 600 as well?

Sounds about right. Before you do anything you should jack up the front, take off the wheel, and compare length of calipers.

I assume you want to upgrade to the four piston calipers since some 4matics did not come with Brembo calipers? Yes factory oem calipers are Brembos. Because racecar.

That's correct. Mine did not come with the Brembos. I believe the rears should be ok but the fronts might be a problem since the 4matic uses the floating calipers in the front vs the 600 that uses the fixed ones. That's why I am wondering if I actually get the spindle from the 600 as well may work

Yes it shouldnt be an issue once you get the spindle. The suspension components and design b/w the 4matics and RWD 220s are the same from what I understand.

????

The W220 RWD front suspension uprights have nowhere for the drive shafts to go. The 4WD cars definitely have different calipers, uprights and lower wishbones.

I think this would need some good research first.

Ok guys, I am scratching the fronts since it seems like it will be like opening a can of warms but I would still like to do the rears if I can just for the simple reason that I could get them for a good deal ( calipers + rotors ) I just want to make sure that the rears will be a direct swap before I purchase them. Any idea for sure on the rears ?? Thanks again for all your help.

The front brakes do two-thirds of the stopping - is there any point in upgrading the rears, but not the front? Will you get more aggressive braking on the rear, leading to quicker ABS action?

I wouldn't consider it worthwhile if I owned the car, but its your car, your money...

I agree Wally but I am gonna need rear brakes in about a month or so and what will cost me for rear rotors/pads will be exactly what I will be paying for rear calipers/rotors/pads from the 600. So I wouldn't mind paying the same amount of money to upgrade to the Brembos Question is, will they be a straight swap ??
