At least 16. More of you want it brighter. But honestly. I prefer my reading lights incandecent. The harsh white light is too blinding at night.

For the sake of clarity, you pressed the reset button on the dash to get rid of the error messages while driving right?
I painted my side marker lenses 744 Brilliant Silver and put some LED bulbs in I had laying around from my 850 Turbo(didnt want the stock bulbs to lift or bubble the paint over time). Have errors. I just reset em on the dash.....
Also idk what it is but I love the regular interior lighting. I'm just old school.

I used those LED before. They would work on my 2003 S55 for about a year, then the L or R would give me an error on the dash while still working. I replaced and this time, it always gave me error code. I just push the reset button to get to my digital speedo/miles to display.
On my 2006 S65, plug in and play SAME company SAME LED, NO error code. Weird right? So now every car after, I just stick to OEM unless its the low-beams. On my 2002 H1, AM General does not care, working or not! WOOO no codes.

When I installed LED license plate on my W221, it was a plug and play deal. I had a similar problem with my w220 install. Both would light up, but the L would show error. It came up once a year vs the side markers and parking lamps which was a few times a week.
Here is my audi with both 6k for low and fogs. The projectors lightens up the color a little so it doesn't match. If you want blue-white, 8k would be the way to go, but it might be a little too blue for your liking without projectors.
I had my local shop sell me a HID kit. Came with wires, ballast, bulbs to do install. No specific brand but the shop offered a 3 year warranty on my kit.

Who knows whats up with these w220s and LED's I want the LED licensee plate lights too but I am afraid of how manny errors those may cause. I have projector headlights in the Benz their just not HID I always look at the HID kits but they look like a ton of work to install. I was really surprised that Ziza does not make fog lights for the w220 or the H1 bulb. Nice S5 BTW, In my Audi I have the Ziza for the fogs and they look amazing and match almost 100%.
Tons of work?? More like plug and play. Search up ddm tuning

I just looked them up and they seam like a pretty straight up install. But I also read that all HID kits are Junk.... Hmmm Maybe I will just go with the OEM Bixenons because the light out put that I have now is just pure

If you don't like error codes put the oem lights back in
If you can tolerate the error codes keep the led

considering these cars are throwing codes for just a simple LED day light, does this mean if I want to change out the OEM LED bulb to a high burning heat its going to throw codes also?
