2000 S430
Just got the airmatic fixed and it was not expensive. My mechanic put in a new air commpressor and the car raised up and is working fine. The commpressor was $240.00 and the labor from my mechanic was 40.00. because it was like 20 minutes of work.

mine broke at 95000 km on Wednesday (S500 /99): compressor was crap.
Cost CHF 900 (USD 720) to replace.
God save the MB used car gurantee! I've now reached a total of CHF 7000 (USD 5500) of repairs in 4 months : )). all covered 100% : )) I'm sure this is not properly accounted for the DC balance sheet: strong sell.
... and I bought an S because the 7series has a bad reputation concerning quality ... next one is a Lexus ...

Mine went out while I was in Vegas @ ~95,000M... I thought my car was looking better and better... Because it was getting LOWER and LOWER!
I had to drive it to the only MB dealer in Vegas while the 20s were completely tucked could barely turn... It was hilarious...
I looked like some punk kid with a lowered Ford Ranger! haha
