MB STAR DAS/Xentry - which one?
Hello Guys,
I still have my no crank issue with my car and I have gone for a few days. I am thinking running some diagnostics may be wise step to take.
Can anyone recommend the easiest/best setup to acquire in trying to set up a diy STAR diagnostic system?
I have read multiple threads and other info online and the more I read, the less I comprehend.
Few things:
- I am fine with a Connect 3 (C3)
- I can source a cheap D630
- I am trying to be as economical as possible.
Any tips will be appreciated. I also wouldnt mind buying a setup from someone who isnt in need of his/hers.

I think the C3 and D630 is probably the best approach.
There are lots of decent Chinese sellers, but the support is limited by language.
The initial set-up takes a surprising amount of time. A kit that's already configured will be much quicker, but may be expensive.
Had you considered using a generic OBD2 reader, and see how far you get with that?
